Sheryl Underwood is she is an American comedy and television star popular as hosts the talk show The Talk, a popular talk show that airs on daytime TV. Sheryl was born in Little Rock and grew up in Little Rock. Sheryl comes from a family that has had a lot of issues. Sheryl spent the majority of her childhood helping her younger sister Frankie as she was a victim of polio. Growing up, she had difficulties to her maternal grandmother. Sheryl states that in one instance her mother stabbed her father over the head because she was becoming too close to her. Sheryl entered the military following her graduation from university. But her passion was comedy. She was the first female finalist in the competition Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. She began her TV career in 1992, when she was a regular participant during the HBO comedy show Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she hosted her own show Oh Drama! In 2011, she began acting as co-host on the talk show The Talk. Additionally, she has portrayed the role of a fictional character in series like Bulworth Nikki, Bulworth or Beauty Shop.
