Sofia Pernas, a Moroccan born in California who grew up growing up within Orange County. In 2015, she graduated from University of California San Diego and made her debut as an actress. Pernas had small roles on NCIS and Leverage. After that, she was offered the role as Marisa in The Young and the Restless. Following her departure from the soap-opera in the year 2016, she landed the role of a regular on Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The model speaks four different languages.
