Julia Fiona Roberts, born on October 28, 1967, in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Julia Fiona Roberts is the fourth generation Roberts that resided in Atlanta. Her father had keen interest from a young age in theatre. As a college pupil studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he participated in numerous productions. In 1953, he enlisted in the Air Force. While stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a show with Betty Lou Bredemus. They married in 1955. Their baby son Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter was a student at Tulane University at New Orleans In 1957, the city of Louisiana where they had separated from the Air Force of the United States. Walter was recruited by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to be a part of the production team for the television show Bum Bum His Buddies in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou financed their own production of a local children's Sunday matinee show called Bum Bum and His Buddies. They also founded the Actors and Writers Workshop in the same year, which was in operation for a period of 6 years. They also had two children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in 1965 as well as Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
