Jennifer Grey (born March 26 1959) is an American actress from the United States. She made her acting debut in the movie Reckless (1984) and then made her breakthrough with the teenage comedy film Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986). She subsequently earned worldwide fame for her role as Frances Houseman in the romantic drama film Dirty Dancing (1987), which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination.
